This week's gold and I'll tell you why at the end :)

A big thank you for introducing me to sketchplanations! I’ve been trying my hand at sketching since the beginning of the year and this series is a chance to learn from the best.

To add to the trust battery bit, Tobi Lutke has got a manifesto that’s on Shopify Wiki that anyone can read and get to know him before working with him. He says the manifesto has stuff that otherwise people would take a year to figure out about him. Such clarity!

On space: The most common reservations I’ve heard against space exploration/colonization is (1) there’s so much suffering in the world and fix that first with all the space money AND (2) first the rich messed up the Earth and now they have found a new playground leaving their waste on earth for us. I have built my view on this from the writings of David Deutsch who says that the earth has always been an inhospitable environment. Only humans have the power to transform something useless (rocks and ores) into something useful (machines and cars and whatnot). To a caveman nothing is useful. So what is an ethical problem (exploiting earth) is actually a technical problem (exploring the universe and using all that it has to offer as resources). This short clip on Naval Ravikant’s podcast captures the heart of this argument: https://nav.al/infinite-resources

Thank you so much for the lovely words! I'll take it as high praise because of the quality of everything that you do. Glad that our paths are crossing again. There's much to look forward to

Wow! So many useful inputs in one go.

Tobi's manifesto - Such a manifesto or a user guide to work with you is the ultimate stage of self awareness. I've been trying to rehash my personal manual for some time now.

Space - had not really thought of this topic till I heard this piece from Bezos. My interest remained in his ELI5 kind of approach. I should explore more on Space, nonetheless including Navals' work you have recommended.

And yes, looking forward to discovering many interesting things together!
